Things are a little insane around here. (Check my stories for the full picture 😂).
Davey and I are packing up and relocating one last time. We close on a house (fingers crossed/knock on wood/etc.) in just a few days!
I’m a bit of a crazy person though, so despite packing up, work hasn’t completely stopped (hopefully shooting the March #skbdiy pattern today!)
Spring is coming. Spring is coming. Spring is coming.
My mantra these days. (Did you see my snow story yesterday 😂)
Bring spring into your home a little faster with this flowery pattern available through the end of the month in my Etsy shop 🌼
A little #monsteramonday action for you.
(Most of these finished hoops are available in my shop. Just sayin 😘)
Curling up and stitching fire this snowy Sunday (and wishing I had a real fireplace 🙃).
You can too with my February Fireplace #skbdiy pattern available through the end of the month in my Etsy shop!
Took me a week, but finally finished up one of the samples I started in last week’s Brooklyn workshops. This little cutie and so many others will come with me to Boston next month for a few classes with @aviarygallery (March 16 + 17)
A couple of the sessions have already sold out, so if you’re interested, don’t wait too long! Follow the link up top labeled ‘ Boston Workshop’ 😘
Saturday morning view.
I let it slip in my last newsletter that @davey.f.mandesea and I are making one more move and then striking ‘nomadic’ from the studio description. If all goes well (as we know it will but all positive energy is greatly appreciated!) next Saturday we will be waking up in a new home and putting down permanent roots in Keene, New Hampshire.
This past year in this little house in the White Mountains has been wonderful, but we are so looking forward to the next step!
(All that is to say I may be a little absent as we pack up and make the move!)
If you’ve followed me for awhile, then you already know how much I love @thecraftersbox and I am so excited about the March collaboration with Sarah Perez of @electricsuncreatives 😍 this brass mobile project is just too dreamy!
If you are unfamiliar with @thecraftersbox , let me fill you in: it is an incredible business dedicated to building a contemporary craft community and empowering at home creatives (like you 😘) through a craft subscription box filled with carefully curated materials and supplies. Every month The Crafter’s Box teams up with expert makers to create video tutorials that go along with the subscription boxes.
I had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate on a box back in October 2016 and it has been so much fun seeing the community grow and each month’s new project since then.
SO if you’re looking for your next project, head over to thecraftersbox.com (or swipe up in my stories) to learn more. Enrollment for this project closes February 20th!
Friday morning details. 🌵🌵🌵
Prickly pears for days.
Literally. Embroidery takes a long time. 😅

Jumping on this Valentine’s Day train. @davey.f.mandesea have spent the last 7 years together (the past 5 month’s as married folks) and I really don’t know where I’d be without him. He is the best, most supportive, kind, and generous partner a girl could ask for. We are so super pumped for what the future holds for us.
If you’re interested, you can swipe through and see a few snapshots of our wedding day. We DIYed pretty much the whole thing (with a TON of help from friends and family) with the exception of the INCREDIBLE flowers by @apothecaflowers (I’m sure they are crazy busy today, but if you have a flower occasion coming up in NH definitely check them out!). We had the wedding in the backyard of the house we are renting, moved our furniture outside 😂, collected glassware from yard sale leading up to the big day, and asked our guests to draw portraits of us or themselves for our ‘guestbook’ My college roomie did my hair and Davey’s Mom altered my dress, his sister made our cake, and our friends and family took our pictures.
The day couldn’t have been more perfect. ❤️
Happy Valentine’s day, everybody. I hope you are spending it exactly the way you want to.
In case you missed it earlier, a new interview with @lizlpayne is up on my site! Follow the ‘Craft With Conscience’ link to check it out!
Another Wednesday, another #craftwithconscience artist interview! I am so thrilled this week to share the work and words of @lizlpayne
I’m am in constant awe of Liz’s fiber work — the scale, the color, the texture, it’s all incredible!

Here are those flowers I was talking about...
Stitch them up for yourself with the #skbdiy pattern available now in my shop!
(And look out for super exciting things tomorrow! If you haven’t already, you should really sign up for my newsletter!!! Follow the ‘Stay in the Loop’ link 🤫)
It’s all fireplaces and flowers in my Etsy shop right now, but something big is happening tomorrow! (I’ll give you a hint: it may have something to do with past patterns 🤐🤫😬)
Something extra special is going out in tomorrow’s newsletter. You might want to hop on my mailing list if you haven’t already 😘
Home again and back to work.
I have so many things I am dying to tell you about, but I have to keep mouth shut a little longer! 😬🤐
All the bright + beautiful thread from @dmc_embroidery for this past weekend’s workshops.
@davey.f.mandesea and I are packing up and driving back home to New Hampshire today.
It was so great to spend the weekend in Brooklyn and can’t wait to come back to @makeworkshop sometime soon!
The calm before the stitching storm. It was such a pleasure spending the weekend in Brooklyn with some really incredible folks at @makeworkshop ❤️
I huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated and listened to me ramble on about the freedoms of *contemporary* embroidery.
There are a few other classes coming up (maybe to a city near you 😘):
Boston - March 16+17 with @aviarygallery
San Miguel de Allende - April 10 + 12 with @hibiscuslinens
Mexico City - April 14 + 15 with @chayabnb
And I know I keep saying it, but details really are coming soon for classes in Santiago + Puerto Varas Chile!
(Thanks @dmc_embroidery for the threads!)
Enjoying a slow morning of stitching before an afternoon of teaching after a night of jazz and pizza.
It’s fun to be back in a city after a few months at home in the white mountains.
All checked in to my favorite @airbnb in Brooklyn (and home of artist @crosekauf )
If you’re planning a trip to NYC you should definitely consider this plant + art-filled apartment. (I put a link to the listing in my stories ❤️)
Up close and personal with my 2017 February Flowers design. If you missed it back then or during one of my Pattern re-releases, now’s your chance! Scoop up this pattern from my Etsy shop before the end of the month when it goes back into retirement 🌸🌼🌺🌻
Another messy zone, but I am loving the winter light!
(We got so much fresh snow last night!)
Hanging in the studio. A few things:
1) I hang my hoops with washi tape. People always ask. Some say they’ve tried, but the hoops fall down, but this is what I use. 🤷🏻♀️
2) THANK YOU for all the amazing, wonderful support on my last couple of posts. ☺️
3) Find my fireplace design as a pattern in my Etsy shop AND find last year’s February Flowers pattern available again through the end of the month.
4) If DIY is not your thing, a few of these pieces are available as finished works on my website (link up top) and the rest will be available in my next shop update—probably some time in March.
5) A newsletter is going out next week with some exciting news and something extra special, so if you haven’t already, you should hop on the list to stay in the loop!
